Practice tools
Each tool has its own page, its own formula, and its own errors. Tempo and the A4 reference stay in this browser so the click, drone, delay table, and tuner can share them. Nothing here hosts recordings. A4 is 440 Hz unless you change the reference.
Tempo
Online metronome
BPM, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, accent on beat one, volume, and optional subdivisions.
Tap tempo
Average the last four to eight gaps. A pause longer than two seconds starts over.
Practice loop
Count-in, play bars, rest, repeats, and an optional BPM step. Uses the session click.
Song length calculator
seconds = bars × beats per bar × (60 / BPM). 32 bars at 120 in 4/4 = 1:04.
Bars and time
The inverse of song length, rounded to 0.01 bar, with a nearest whole bar.
Delay time calculator
ms = (60000 / BPM) × beats. Dotted × 1.5. Triplet × 2/3. Quarter at 120 BPM is 500 ms.
Polyrhythm metronome
Two streams from 2 to 8. 3:2 means three high clicks in the span of two low clicks.
Pitch
Chromatic tuner
Microphone to nearest note, hertz, and cents. A4 starts at 440 Hz. No upload.
Drone tone
Sine tone on a chosen note and octave. Same drone as the session bar.
Note frequency calculator
f = 440 × 2((midi − 69) / 12) unless you set another A4. MIDI 69 is A4.
Interval calculator
Two pitches, semitones, and a name. C to G is P5. Sharps are preferred going up.
Interval ear training
Two tones, then m2, M2, m3, M3, P4, P5, or P8. The score stays in this tab.
Transpose chords and capo
Simple names only. C plus 2 semitones is D. Capo N means shapes as if capo N.
Capo chart
Shapes C, G, Am, F, D, Em, A, and E against capo 0–7. C with capo 2 is D.
Circle of fifths
Key signatures for study. Not a fortune-telling wheel and not a song player.
